Thank you to all of our residents who attended the June 25, 2019 city meeting. Your concern about our city’s current issues was heard and appreciated.
After reviewing the results from the online survey and the opinions voiced at the meeting in opposition to the proposed amendment, your city’s commission has decided not to amend the livestock ordinance. There was not a great majority in favor of the amendment, therefore no action is needed.
The other survey issue was short term rentals. Your commission heard your concerns and as such, an ordinance is being drafted to prohibit short term rentals. The first draft of this ordinance will be on the website in the upcoming weeks. I will post our new signs on the entrance island when the ordinance is available online to review. The first reading of the ordinance will take place at the July 23rd meeting.
